Hello,
My name is Bobbi-Jo. I started my journey as a destination wedding planner 
by accident. I was working for a travel wholesaler and my mother was planning to get married in Mexico. Working in the wholesale industry I was unable to provide the travel for our friends and family that would be attending my mother’s special day. My mother went to a travel agency in the local mall and the sales person told her that he would plan the wedding for her. Invitations were sent out and everyone was excited. The Mayan Riviera is beautiful in the Fall. The wedding date was coming close and I had not heard from the travel agent my mother was working with. I had not put down deposit yet so I p
roactively called and asked how many of our friends and family had paid their deposit so far? The agent was relieved that someone was going to take care of organizing the wedding group. I did my best to contact everyone last minute. Due to lack of time to arrange deposits the majority of the guests could not attend. It was a nightmare. We arrived at the resort and they didn’t even know my mother was getting married. The date my mother requested was taken and we had to reschedule the wedding for another day. My mother was inconsolable. I took over and planned the wedding in three days. The day that my mother had planned to be married was sunny and beautiful. The new wedding day was pouring with rain and had to take place in a restaurant overlooking the beach she had dreamed to be married on. We made the most of it but it was not her dream day.
After that day I knew that I had to do something to change the way people were married away. I attended wedding planning courses with the dream to one day change the industry. I spent 3 years in wholesale travel and 8 years in retail travel side specializing in romantic travel. Now besides providing planning services for brides all over the world, I work with tour operators and give lectures on destination weddings to help improve the industry overall. I love what I do and I hope to share my passion for destination weddings and honeymoons with you.
After many years of planning dream days for others I was recently married in Cabo San Lucas on Medano Beach over looking Lover’s Arches. We spent 7 days with our closest friends and family laughing and sharing the best Mexico has to offer. By the time the ceremony was about to take place, our guests were relaxed and thrilled to able to take part in such a special moment with us. Most of our guests at the wedding had such a great time that they have since had their own destination weddings. We spent the following 7 days on our honeymoon swimming with dolphins, horseback riding and eco tours through the Baja Peninsula.
